This year it is our mission to bring you some creative inspiration and positivity, which is why we’ve launched the POSCA Artist of the Year competition.
We know how creative you all are and we want to celebrate it. Our POSCA Artist of the Year event aims to do precisely that. Taking place over our Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok channels this is a great way for both budding and established POSCA artists to showcase their work.
How does it work?
Taking part and showing off your talents with us couldn’t be simpler and you will have 11 bites of the cherry for a chance to win. Every month we will post a theme or ‘prompt’ that aims to inspire you to unleash your artistic flare. Every month the prompt will be announced on our POSCA UK social channels so keep an eye out and be sure to follow our POSCA UK Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok channels to stay in the loop. This month’s theme is ‘Future’. We already have some examples of current entries on this theme pictured.

Now, it wouldn’t be a competition without some rules and guidelines so here’s some pointers…
– Create some original artwork using POSCA paint markers, pencils or pastels that aligns to this months theme
– Post your work on your Instagram, Facebook or TikTok – your post should feature your artwork, and the POSCA materials you’ve used as seen in the image below!
– Tag @posca_uk where possible, and use the hashtags #PoscaArtistOfTheYear and #PoscaAOTYFuture
– Work should be created using a POSCA markers, pencils or pastels – if you have one POSCA product this is enough! We’re looking for originality and style!
– Remember you must be based in the UK to take part!
Final Deadline for January’s submission is 31st of January.
Our favourite artworks will then be shortlisted by our expert team and posted on our Instagram and Facebook channels to be voted on by you, our followers. Voting will commence on February 1st.

The winner of each month will be announced and added to the grand final showdown list for December 2021. This gives us 11 artists in total who will take part in our grand finale when they will be given the theme privately. We’ll then showcase what they come up via the POSCA_UK social channels, website and on participant artist channels. You’ll also get the chance to get to know a bit more about the artists as they will also be encouraged to share a brief 15 second introduction to themselves. Our panel of expert judges will then decide on who is our POSCA Artist of the Year for 2021.

So why enter? Well for the kudos of course. But we’ll also sweeten the deal with prizes for each month’s winner plus one massive art prize for the overall victor. For example, January’s winner will receive 31 POSCA paint markers and two artgecko sketchbooks.
In addition to a whole host of fantastic art and customisation goodies, our overall POSCA Artist of the Year will have some of their artwork printed on a POSCA pack. They will also have the honour of receiving our first POSCA Artist of the Year trophy not to mention bragging rights for years to come.
