How’s this for an easy project? Here we show you how to make a simple window decoration with uni-Chalk Markers.
A go-to marker
Chalk Markers are brilliant for all kinds of projects – they are particularly effective on glass. Of course you can use them on paper and card if you want to employ them like a conventional coloured pen. But the amazing thing about the uni-Chalk Marker is that it writes on and wipes off non-porous surfaces such as chalkboards, chalkboard painted walls and glass.
Your uni-Chalk Markers should be your go-to marker for making simple window decorations, making signs and writing temporary labels. These markers are top quality, so much so that bars and restaurants use them everyday. You can get the same professional look for yourself in your own home. We’re using a white marker pen here but you can use the markers’ wide range of colours to make a simple window decoration with uni-Chalk Markers.
Make simple window decoration with uni-Chalk Markers
uni-Chalk Markers come in a variety of sizes. We have used three sizes here using the white marker; PWE-3M, PWE-5M and PWE-8K.
To begin to make a simple window decoration with uni-Chalk Markers, get started with our garland design. We made a simple chalk circle. To do this we made a loop with a length of string measuring half the size of our desired circle.
We then secured our smallest chalk pen into the loop. We fixed the string into the centre of our window. Using this as a flexible compass, we made a chalk marker circle.
Once we created our circle we used our PWE-5m to make leaf shapes along the circle line.
To make simple flowers around the garland we employed the chisel tip of 8k. The flat tip of the chisel makes easy flower shapes. All you need to do it dab it flat on the surface of the glass at an angle to make petals.
To finish the window decoration write a message inside. We’re written a simple ‘hello’ with our chisel tip 8k chalk marker. We think this size and shape of the nib is perfect for large writing.
